Moyagaye Bedward is a PhD candidate in the history department at Rutgers University- New Brunswick. Her focus is on the history of slavery and identity formation for the Haratin in 20th century Morocco. Her work has been supported by a Fulbright IIE fellowship, a short term AIMS grant, and a Center for Arabic Studies fellowship.
